Investigation underway after man dies under pile of metal at Calgary jobsite

CALGARY – Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is investigating the death of a 72-year-old man who was found trapped under some steel at a Calgary industrial site.

Police were called to the southeast-area site shortly after 10:30 a.m. Monday.

Emergency medical authorities declared the man dead at the scene.

His name has not been released.

No other details about the accident have been released.
