Top Recipients Include:

  • MEG Energy Corp. in Calgary, AB receives $10M from the ERA Oil Sands Innovation Challenge to develop solutions that reduce GHG emissions associated with bitumen production (Source). The company also received $10M from the SD Tech Fund (Source).
  • D-Wave Systems Inc. in Burnaby, BC secures $10M from the SD Tech Fund to develop energy-efficient quantum computing systems (Source).
  • The New Brunswick Energy Solutions Corporation receives $10M from the provincial government to develop a nuclear research cluster (Source).
