Deals cover analysis and restoration work at two Ontario mine sites

OTTAWA—Canadian environmental service consultancy BluMetric Environmental Inc. has won two Ontario mining sector contracts valued at nearly $3 million.

Covering work for undisclosed clients, the Ottawa-based cleantech company will be responsible for the analysis and restoration of two mining sites in Northern Ontario. BluMetric said it will perform the work by drilling monitoring wells, performing aquifer tests, sampling ground and surface water, as well as using airborne equipment to survey the area. The company will then use the results to identify and evaluate restoration options for the two mining sites.

Roger Woeller, the company’s CEO, said the contract wins demonstrate the company’s range of capabilities.

“BluMetric is successfully evolving from advanced data collection and analysis to the provision and implementation of practical solutions,” he said.
