The COVID-19 pandemic will change manufacturing in North America.

It’s already happening, even as we see new cases of the novel coronavirus roll in across Canada and the United States by the hour.

Some manufacturers – like those in the automotive industry – are seeing demand dwindle, while others that produce items like hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, bath tissue and paper towel are mobilizing to ramp up production and churn out product as fast as possible to meet overwhelming demand.

This is the time for companies to take stock of their operations, from production through the supply chain, and think critically about how they may be better prepared in the future.
