
Ericsson plans new Montreal area centre to support R&D for global market

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que.—Ericsson plans a new research centre in the Montreal area to help develop new wireless technology and services.
The Swedish tech company currently employs more than 3,100 employees in Canada and operates two research hubs in Montreal and Ottawa.
The new 40,000 square foot location in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Que., is expected to begin operations in early 2015.
The new centre will provide a workplace for Ericsson’s engineers and provide its customers the opportunity to be involved in testing and trials.
