FedDev Ontario invests over $4.7 million for A. Berger Precision Ltd. to increase domestic production, support research and development collaboration, and create 15 jobs.

Brampton — The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) announced over $4.7 million for A. Berger Precision Ltd. (A. Berger), to increase domestic production and create 15 jobs in machine operating and engineering.

A. Berger Precision Ltd. is an advanced manufacturer that specializes in high-precision milled and machined components for the automotive, aerospace, hydraulics, defense, medical and industrial equipment sectors. Through this investment, A. Berger will adopt new technologies to increase made-in-Canada production of larger, and more complex parts, as well as strengthen the company’s footprint in North America.

This investment will also help the company improve its research and development capacity so it can experiment with new techniques and materials. It will also be able to collaborate with post-secondary institutions, contributing to future improvements to its operations, such as reducing production downtimes, increasing tooling life and decreasing quality defects.

“The Government of Canada is making smart investments to ensure Canadian manufacturers have what they need to reach their potential by producing made-in-Canada solutions and create new possibilities for growth. Today’s investment in A. Berger Precision Ltd. will create jobs, drive economic growth in Brampton, and support the resiliency of Canadian manufacturing,” said Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
