SNC-Lavalin acquires UK’s Flex Process

Flex Process offers services in the areas of engineering and digital twins to support asset design and help improve operational efficiency.

MONTRÉAL — SNC-Lavalin says it has completed the acquisition of Flex Process, a  process engineering, safety and digital simulation company which specializes in the support and transformation of process plants in power and industrial sectors.

Based in the United Kingdom, Flex Process offers services in the areas of engineering and digital twins to support asset design and help improve operational efficiency. The company also tries to support companies looking to reduce their emissions in the power, nuclear and industrial sectors such as iron, steel, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

SNC Lavalin says this acquisition will enhance the company’s portfolio which encompasses services from other companies in the renewables, transmission and distribution, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, energy storage and industrial decarbonization sectors.
