On April 19, the 2021 federal budget was announced, which highlighted the Government of Canada’s plan to finish the fight against COVID-19 — and to help ensure a resilient economic recovery that will create jobs and growth for Canadians.

François-Philippe Champagne, minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, talked about the budget in more detail with Canadian Manufacturing.

Minister Champagne also described the experience of stepping into this role in the middle of a global health crisis, what the budget means in the advanced manufacturing sector, as well as his vision for the manufacturing sector
