Innergex and Rivière-du-Loup commission Quebec wind farm

There are 12 turbines at Viger-Denonville, which combined have an output of 24.6 MW.
LONGUEUIL, Que.— Innergex Renwable Energy Inc. and the Rivière-du-Loup Regional County Municipality (RCM) on Tuesday announced the commissioning of the Viger-Denonville wind farm in Quebec.
The 24.6 Megawatt installation is comprised of 12 wind turbines located on private land in the municipalities of Saint-Paul-de-la-Croix and Saint-Éphiphane.
Construction on the wind farm was started in the Spring of 2013 and was completed earlier this month. The project was developed by Parc éolien communautaire Viger-Denonville s.e.c.—a joint venture half-owned by Innergex and half-owned by Rivière-du-Loup RCM.
“As manager and co-owner of the Viger-Denonville wind farm, we are very pleased to have realized this project in partnership with Rivière-du-Loup RCM,” said Michel Letellier, president and chief executive officer of Innergex. “This marks the first project from the 250 MW in wind energy from community projects awarded by Hydro-Quebec in 2009 to reach commissioning.”
Based in Longueuil, Que., Innergex is a developer and operator of hydro-electric facilities, as well as solar photovoltaic and wind farms.
It currently operates six wind farms, all in Quebec, including Viger-Denonville, Baie des Sables, Carleton, Gros-Morne, L’Anse-à-Valleau and Montagne Sèche.
