Bombardier lands firm order for Challenger business jets

MONTRÉAL—Bombardier Aerospace received an early Christmas gift in the form of a firm order for 10 Challenger business jets from an undisclosed customer.

The order, which includes five Challenger 300 jets and five Challenger 605 jets, is valued at approximately US$280 million, based on the 2013 list price for typically equipped aircraft.

Based in Montreal, Bombardier is the world’s only manufacturer of both planes and trains and posted 2012 revenues of $16.8 billion.
