Deal adds to consumer products company's footprint in western U.S.
MONTREAL—Quebec-based Knowlton Development Corp. is expanding its reach on the U.S. West Coast.
The company, which manufactures and packages heath and beauty products, has announced it has agreed to buy Thibiant International Inc. for an undisclosed price.
The acquisition will add close to 300 employees to KDC’s ranks, as well as approximately 300,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space.
“We are very confident that this acquisition will add considerable growth potential and enable us to establish a strong presence on the West Coast of the U.S.,” Nicholas Whitley, the company’s president and CEO, said.
Based outside Los Angeles in Chatsworth, Calif., Thibiant formulates and manufactures personal care and skin care products, and like KDC, is active in the contract manufacturing space.
