
EnWave, Ultima sign yogurt technology agreement

Vancouver-based industrial technology company Enwave will partner with Ultima to develop technical applications
VANCOUVER—EnWave Corp. has signed a technology evaluation and license option agreement with Ultima Foods Inc., to develop dehydrated yogurt applications using EnWave’s radiant energy vacuum (REV) technology.
Ultima, a joint venture of Canadian dairy giants Agropur and Agrifoods, is a major Canadian yogurt processor.
During the term of the agreement, which was not disclosed, Vancouver-based industrial technology company EnWave will work closely with Ultima to optimize formulations.
At any point during the term, Ultima may exercise their exclusive option to license REV technology for the commercial production of yogurt products in Canada.
All other terms of the agreement were kept confidential.
