Will acquire "substantially all assets" of New Buffalo Shirt Factory Inc.

MONTREAL—Canadian clothing maker Gildan Activewear Inc. is buying a New York-based screenprinter for about $7-million.

The Montreal-based firm announced it will acquire “substantially all of the assets” of Clarence, N.Y.-based New Buffalo Shirt Factory Inc. and its operating affiliate in Honduras.

New Buffalo specializes in screenprinting and apparel decoration.

According to Gildan, New Buffalo management, including founder Jon Weiss, will continue to operate the business under Gildan ownership.
