The TrilliumGIS is an innovative map that details all manufacturing facilities across Ont., with the team constantly updating the map based on their research, public data, and the industry's own input.
The Trillium Network for Advanced Manufacturing’s Managing Director, Brendan Sweeney, sits down with us to talk about the release of their new and updated TrilliumGIS, an interactive map that shows all manufacturing facilities within Ont. Find out about some of the heavy business implications for manufacturers looking for partners, and the business community at large, to understand key players across the mfg. industry in Ont.
Funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, the map was originally founded in 2014 before the team did intensive work over it during COVID-19 and beyond, keeping track of factories being sold, shuttered and changing hands.
The team found a number of surprises when inputting the data, including particular industries with a manufacturing footprint here in Ont.
