
Insulation maker Roxul to build $160-million plant in Mississippi

Construction of the new facility will begin later this year, with production expected to begin by 2014
Milton, Ont.—Insulation giant Roxul, Inc., is expanding its North American operations with plans to build a $160-million manufacturing facility in Mississippi.
The 600,000 sq. ft. facility, slated for construction in Marshall County, Miss., approximately 50-kilometres from Memphis, Tenn., will employ about 150 people, the company announced.
Roxul, a subsidiary of Rockwool International, currently operates in Milton, Ont., and Grand Forks, B.C.
The company said in a statement production at the Canadian facilities will remain unchanged.
Construction of the new facility will begin later this year, with production expected to begin by 2014.
