Tour-Mate UV-C Sani 1150 to assist in safely reopening economy during COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tour-Mate UV-C Sani 1150

TORONTO — On Mar. 9, Tour-Mate Systems Canada Ltd announced that it had launched the Tour-Mate UV-C Sani 1150 (Sani 1150) to the North American marketplace. The commercial-grade sanitization station will be available to businesses across North America effective immediately. The Sani 1150 will assist in providing a safe reopening of the economy during and following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The station has been certified by the Fraunhofer Institute to have an efficacy rate of 99.997% through its three-minute cycle. The Sani 1150 was tested at the Fraunhofer Institute in January 2021 using live SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) contaminated surfaces. The samples were placed in three different locations within the case with different distances from the UV-C source. Following the experiment, no viral activity was found on the contaminated surfaces.

The Sani 1150 utilizes UV-C technology to sanitize hand-held devices such as self-guided tour devices, portable radio devices, multimedia guides, debit/credit machines, restaurant pager systems and touch-heavy items such as cell phones, laptops, salt and pepper shakers, condiment bottles, remote controls, pens, tablets, styling tools in salons and many more.

“The Sani 1150 is an effective tool that will help ensure that businesses like hotels, restaurants, hair salons and dispensing opticians can provide a safer environment and experience for their customers,” said Neil Poch, President of Tour-Mate Systems Canada Ltd. “It is our hope that this product will provide peace of mind to both business owners and consumers as the economy is safely reopened.

The Sani 1150 is user-safe as it only becomes functional when the unit is locked. Once locked, the unit is sealed on all sides providing protection against the UV-C rays for the user. The station features a wire tray that elevates the items ensuring the entire item can be reached from all angles by the sanitizing rays.

Available for purchase or lease, the Sani1150 is one possible solution for providing safe and effective sanitization to any business that offers high-touch, handheld items to their clientele.
