
Samuel sells its Aussie metals business

LOS ANGELES and Mississauga, Ont.—Samuel Son & Co., Ltd has sold its Airport Metals (Australia) Pty. Ltd. subsidiary.
Los Angeles-based Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co.’s newly-formed subsidiary Bralco Metals (Australia) Pty Ltd, acquired all of the assets of Melbourne-based Airport Metals, which distributes aircraft materials and supplies.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mississauga, Ont.-based Samuel, Son & Co. Ltd. processes, manufactures and distributes metals and industrial products and is the largest family-owned metals processor and distributor in North America with 49 processing and service facilities in Canada.
Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co., headquartered in Los Angeles, Calif., is a metals service center company with more than 220 locations in the U.S., Belgium, Canada, China, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, the U.A.E. and the U.K.
