The start-up specializes in designing and manufacturing hydraulic systems

Newly-established, Quebec-based GenHydrau, which specializes in the design and manufacture of hydraulic systems and, more specifically, in the design, machining and assembly of hydraulic distribution systems called manifolds, will receive a repayable contribution of $105,000 from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED).

The funding will be used to acquire various pieces of production equipment, including a computer numerical control (CNC) machining centre, and enable the firm to manufacture hydraulic manifolds in large quantities with a short turnaround.

Gilles Cloutier, vice-president, GenHydrau, said in a statement, “For our team, support from our partners provides crucial leverage. To be able to compete in the hydraulics sector, we must turn towards new technologies and innovation to manufacture quality products. To achieve this, we must equip ourselves adequately. I am pleased and proud to be able to count on a partner such as Canada Economic Development to support us in our launch.”
