The North American EV charging network operator and smart charging solutions provider has plans to bring 250,000 chargers to the U.S. market by 2028

QUEBEC CITY and AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – North American electric vehicle (EV) charging network operator and smart charging solutions provider FLO recently celebrated the sale of its 100,000th charging station.

The company sold a FLO Home X5 unit to a customer in Toronto. It will be installed by Ridgeline Electric. FLO’s home chargers are 100-per-cent aluminum and designed to stand up to harsh weather.

“Since day 1, FLO has worked diligently to expand access to reliable EV charging solutions for the growing number of EV drivers on North American roadways,” said Louis Tremblay, FLO president and CEO. “This is a significant milestone, and I am incredibly proud of the entire FLO team. I eagerly look forward to the sale of our next 100,000 chargers and to continue providing the best charging experience to all EV drivers.”

While the demand for EVs has grown significantly in Canada and the U.S., the company stated that there is still concern surrounding the availability of public charging stations among consumers when considering the switch to an EV. FLO stated that it is helping address this concern by “providing access to a network of 75,000 public charging stations, with more on the way.”

“My customers are looking for the most robust and reliable charger on the market and the FLO Home is the charger I recommend to them,” said Fab Farruggio, general manager, Ridgeline Electric. “FLO chargers will work every time whether at home or on the road.”

FLO recently expanded its North American supply chain and production capabilities by opening a U.S.-based facility in Auburn Hills, Mich. as part of the company’s mission to bring 250,000 chargers to the U.S. market by 2028. This facility will produce the first line of the FLO Ultra charger starting in early 2024.

“Expanding access is crucial, but nothing is more important than high reliability when it comes to EV charging,” added Tremblay. “When our customers pull up to a FLO station or plug in at home, they know it’s a charger they can depend on. It is not just about adding dots on a map, but a promise that drivers will be able to charge and go wherever they want.”
