The update to Domtar’s The Paper Trail adds information on more products and its Nekoosa, Wis., mill.

MONTREAL— Domtar Corp. has expanded its online tool that measures the environmental impact of the paper you buy.

The update to Domatr’s The Paper Trail adds information on more products and its Nekoosa, Wis., mill.

Upgrades to the tool’s online calculator include:

  • EarthChoice Tradebook, the first publishing grade to be highlighted in the tool
  • Lynx Opaque Ultra, a popular commercial printing paper;
  • Updated environmental impact data for all grades highlighted within the tool

The tool develops reports that measure Domtar products across five categories: water usage; the distance its fiber travels to a paper mill; greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions; waste sent to landfills; and renewable energy usage.
