TORONTO — Baylin Technologies subsidiary, Advantech Wireless Technologies Inc., has received an order valued at $1,620,000 CAD from a US government agency for L-band and S-band solid state power amplifier systems.
These products, ranging from 700 watts to 1kW, will provide telemetry, tracking and control links (TT&C) to a constellation of Geostationary Equatorial Orbit (GEO) satellites.
“This is the first phase of an ongoing program to upgrade the agency’s ground station network. Advantech has a decades-long legacy of supplying L, S and L/S-band products that span the power spectrum from 100 watts to 4,000 watts in a variety of redundancy schemes that include both hardware and software-based architectures,” said John Restivo, President, Advantech.
Leighton Carroll, Baylin’s CEO, said, “Advantech has been focusing on several key markets including Government and Space opportunities. This latest win demonstrates that the strategy of focusing on specific markets where it has competitive advantage is paying off.”
