BARRIE, Ont.—Garaga Inc. is prepping its Barrie, Ont. plant for a $2.5 million expansion.
Under the project, the garage door maker, which supplies residential and industrial clients across North America, plans to buy new machinery, automate equipment and add three new product lines.
“Barrie has proven to be a great manufacturing location for us and this investment will allow us to further expand our business and grow our presence across Canada and the United States,” Sylvain Fecteau, the company’s general manager, said.
To support the company investment, the Ontario government has announced it will contribute $254,328 to the plan.
The expansion is expected to create 12 jobs in the central Ontario city over the next four years.
