ATS gets US$140M in EV orders

CAMBRIDGE — ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. says its industrial automation business has received order bookings totalling USD $140 million from an existing global automotive customer.

The client ordered a continued capacity expansion of automated battery module and pack assembly systems.

The orders include the design, build, and installation of turnkey battery assembly systems. They also form part of a previously disclosed multi-phrase enterprise program. The company says it will record these orders in its third quarter of fiscal 2023 and expects to fulfill them over the next 18 to 24 months.
