TELUS deploys 3500 MHz 5G spectrum

This development comes as part of TELUS's larger $220 billion investment in network infrastructure and operations in Canada since 2000.
VANCOUVER —TELUS is deploying new 3500 MHz spectrum on its 5G wireless network.
The telecommunications company says this should boost speed and capacity of its services for customers living in Toronto, Montral, Ottawa, Edmonton and Victoria.
This development comes as part of TELUS’s larger $220 billion investment in network infrastructure and operations in Canada since 2000.
TELUS anticipates that as it continues to deploy its new spectrum through 2022 and 2023, more regions will gain access to its network, enabling the next wave of 5G capability.
Additionally, TELUS says its 3500 MHz spectrum will help multi-access edge computing and Internet of Things technology, while powering work in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, energy, transportation, and manufacturing.
