Canadian pet company supports pet shelters in need

ELMIRA, ONT. – After recognizing the need for pet shelter funding during COVID-19, Nutram Pet Products announced April 23 the company will be donating $50,000 to Canadian pet shelters.
Canadian pet shelters have seen an increase in surrendered pets due to job loss and constrained income. They’re also seeing an increased interest in adoption and foster families for households seeking companionship.
With the increased number of pets surrendered to shelters and finding new homes creates an increased need for everyday care necessities, including vaccinations, spaying or neutering, food and nutritional requirements.
Nutram will be donating $50,000 to registered pet shelters. They have launched Vote for Humane Kind, an online voting campaign for the community to nominate a shelter in need. The top 10 community-voted registered pet shelters across Canada will each receive $5,000 towards their pet care needs.
