The tissue manufacturer will deliver tissue products with Mercedes-Benz Canada
On April 6, tissue manufacturer Kruger Products launched a national program, called #RollingItForward, to support Canada’s frontline healthcare workers and Canadians in need amid COVID-19.
Over the next few weeks, Kruger will give Cashmere, Purex, SpongeTowels and Scotties to frontline healthcare workers at several hospitals in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
Kruger also announced that the company will be making tissue product donations to Food Banks Canada, and a financial contribution to support frontline healthcare workers.
“There’s never been a more important time in Canadian history to step up and give back,” said Kruger Products CEO Dino Bianco, in a prepared statement. “We are so grateful to the heroic frontline healthcare workers across Canada who are putting their lives on the line to keep our country safe and healthy. While their focus is on healing us, our focus needs to be on supporting them.”
Kruger is partnering with Mercedes-Benz Canada to deliver tissue products to healthcare professionals at hospitals in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
According to a statement, the automaker is providing a fleet of more than 20 Sprinter and Metris Vans to facilitate deliveries.
“When we learned Kruger Products had supplies to deliver and a need for distribution, we immediately began working with representatives from our national dealer network to assemble a fleet of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Metris Vans to fill that need,” said Brian D. Fulton, Mercedes-Benz Canada president & CEO, in a prepared statement. “Everyone involved is grateful to have the opportunity to support our communities right now, when it matters most.”
