N.B. tech firm angling for payroll rebate in Nova Scotia

HALIFAX—A New Brunswick company offering technical training and support to international clients is expanding to Halifax.

Nova Scotia Business Inc. says it has signed a five-year payroll rebate agreement with Innovatia Inc., which is headquartered in Saint John.

Under the agreement, Innovatia must create at least 15 full-time equivalent jobs in the first year.

It would then be eligible for a payroll rebate for as many as 100 new positions.

Innovatia was created in 1999 and employs more than 500 people worldwide.
