Montreal-based LED maker acquires Ariane Controls Inc.

Ariane Controls Inc. designs and builds PLC and controls technology
MONTREAL—LED lighting solutions manufacturer Lumenpulse Inc. has acquired all of the shares of Quebec City, Que.-based Ariane Controls Inc.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ariane is a five-person company focusing on PLC and controls, and has worked with Lumenpulse for many years. Ariane holds a patented modulation technology integrated to their Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC), which is part of Lumenpulse’s products.
“With a track record of developing and implementing successful solutions as a Lumenpulse partner, we are excited to welcome the Ariane team into our company,” said François-Xavier Souvay, president and CEO of Lumenpulse. “Ariane’s founder and CEO Jean-Pierre Fournier will play a strategic role supporting the fast-growing adoption of our Lumentalk technology, which will further develop its full market potential. His staff will join our R&D team and enrich our know-how in hardware, firmware and software development,” he said.
