Canadian-made Toyota RAV4 records best month ever in March

Automaker sold 3,635 Woodstock, Ont.-built RAV4 in Canada, setting new best-month record
TORONTO—Toyota Canada says its Canadian-built RAV4 compact SUV had its best month in sales ever, leading the charge to a strong March for the automaker’s truck sales.
The all-new, fourth-generation 2013 Toyota RAV4 saw sales of 3,635 units in Canada for the month of March, a record for the popular compact crossover.
Those numbers were up 95.7 per cent year-over-year compared to March 2012, according to Toyota.
The Woodstock, Ont.-built RAV4’s record numbers helped Toyota’s trucks set a new record for the month of March, combining with Lexus to move a total of 8,551 units, an increase of 22.9 per cent year-over-year.
Overall, Toyota sold 16,286 vehicles in Canada in March, down 6.1 per cent versus 2012.
