Partnership with Pfaff will see Pagani officially sold in Canada for first time in automaker's 22-year history

TORONTO—One of Italy’s finest boutique automakers, Pagani Automobili S.p.A., is finally coming to Canada, and it’s bringing the Huayra hypercar with it.

Dealer group Pfaff Automotive Partners announced this week it has been named the exclusive importer and dealer of Pagani in Canada, marking the automaker’s entrance into the Canadian market 22 years after it was launched.

“We are proud to bring this exotic automotive brand to Canada, with its reputation for leadership in technology and design,” Pfaff president and CEO Christopher Pfaff said in a release.

“Aligning the Pfaff brand to Pagani is an absolute honour and we are excited to introduce their latest supercar, the Huayra, to the Canadian market.”

The launch of the Pfaff-Pagani partnership will see the Huayra available to Canadian customers with access to sales and service support for the hypercar on home soil.

The first complete redesign of a Pagani car since the Zonda and its multiple variants, the Huayra produces an astonishing 730-horsepower at the wheels and 737-lb.-ft. of torque thanks to its AMG-built twin-turbocharged V12 engine.

All told, the Huayra is made of more than 4,000 parts—and that’s not including its engine or gearbox.

“To create (the pieces) and put them together requires creativity, patience and passion that I share with a fantastic young team and with the most competent partners in all sectors,” Pagani founder Horacio Pagani said.

“The team was able to work on many projects at the same time, driving on different tracks that occasionally came to meet by sharing engineering concepts, materials, safety and scientific or design studies.”

Pfaff will sell the Huayra out of its dealership in Woodbridge, Ont., just north of Toronto.
