PCL's cloud platform now offers additional sensor technology

EDMONTON — Edmonton-based PCL Construction has announced that it has partnered with Toronto-based AOMS Technologies, a provider of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for smart buildings and construction sites.

PCL says this partnership will further enhance Job Site Insights (JSI), PCL’s cloud-based construction platform that provides a single-pane view into all aspects of work at a jobsite. The platform now offers additional sensor technology measuring concrete maturity and strength, gases, sound, vibration, air quality, and energy consumption.

PCL’s CIO, Mark Bryant, said in a statement, “Extending and adding features to JSI is critically important in enabling the value we bring to the workface of construction.”

Hamid Alemohammad, CEO of AOMS Technologies, added, “The partnership with PCL will allow AOMS to fast track the deployment of smart construction solutions. Our joint forces with PCL will help all stakeholders in construction projects to gain real-time visibility into the safety, efficiency, and productivity of the construction sites like never before.”
