Montreal firm continues pulling in work following success in Asian market
MONTREAL—Ovivo Inc. has announced it has won a major contract to build an ultrapure water (UPW) and wastewater treatment system for a U.S. electronics firm.
The contract is valued at $20 million, and builds on the company’s success with another electronics industry client last year. Though the Montreal-based company did not reveal its U.S. customer, it noted the firm was a global semiconductor manufacturer.
“This combined UPW and wastewater major contract awarded in the U.S. Electronics market follows large ones granted in Asia, and is a great example of our capacity to lead this highly sophisticated global market with the depth of our expertise and our smart technologies,” Marc Barbeau, the company’s president and CEO, said.
Ovivo will install the UPW and wastewater treatment system at the electronics firm’s new wafer fabrication research and development facility within the next 12 months.
