Wind farm's construction employed 200 at peak construction
MONTREAL—Boralex Inc. has commissioned its Témiscouata II wind power project, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec. The project has an installed capacity of 51.7 megawatts and employed 200 workers at peak construction.
The company’s present and CEO, Patrick Lemaire, said the project was completed on budget and ahead of schedule.
The wind farm is covered by a 20-year contract with Hydro-Québec and pumped approximately $30 million into the Bas-Saint-Laurent region during construction.
The project is adjacent to the Témiscouata I community wind farm on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River in Eastern Quebec.
