Contract extends Magellan's US$80M program through 2021
TORONTO—Magellan Aerospace has been awarded a contract to provide nose and main landing gear components and kitted assemblies to Messier-Bugatti-Dowty for the company’s major commercial aircraft customers.
Magellan has produced the machined components for MBD since 2009, and the new contract extends the US$80 million program through 2021. The parts are manufactured at the company’s divisions in New York City and Kitchener, Ont.
“Magellan is able to offer Messier-Bugatti-Dowty an integrated solution that includes both manufacturing expertise and global supply chain management,” Phil Underwood, president and CEO of Magellan, said. “Their continued confidence in Magellan to support this program demonstrates that our approach provides a cost competitive and quality solution they can depend on to support their key customer.”
