WATERLOO, Ont.—BlackBerry has agreed to sell its German-based research and development assets to Volkswagen Infotainment, a subsidiary of the auto manufacturer that makes interactive technology built into vehicle dashboards.
The Waterloo, Ont.-based smartphone maker says about 200 BlackBerry employees in Germany will transfer to Volkswagen.
