
Vancouver biomass firm sending wood pellets to India

Five-year contract will supply Indian energy group with 190,000 tonnes of wood pellets
VANCOUVER—Viridis Energy Inc. has announced a five-year agreement with India-based Abellon Clean Energy Ltd. to supply 190,000 metric tonnes of wood pellets for biomass energy markets.
The companies have agreed to a five-year contract requiring Viridis to provide a minimum of 30,000 metric tonnes of wood pellets during the first twelve months and 40,000 annually during the remainder of the five-year agreement.
Vancouver-based Viridis Energy is a manufacturer and distributor of biomass fuel for residential and industrial applications.
Abellon CleanEnergy is part of the global Abellon Business Group, which has interests in areas such as clean energy, agriculture, genomics research, education and sustainable social development.
The company is focused on biomass pellets, bio-power, advanced generation biofuels and newer value chain opportunities such as bio-refineries and its processing industry.
