SNC-Lavalin wins $90M contract in Dubai

The Montreal-based firm will deliver electrical substations to power a new real estate development
MONTREAL—SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a contract from Meydan Group LLC to design and deliver three electrical substations in Dubai, UAE.
The substations will provide electrical infrastructure for the Meydan One mixed-use real estate development, a community that will be home to 83,000 people.
The contract is valued at approximately $90 million.
SNC-Lavalin will provide three two-storey buildings, all electrical equipment and electro-mechanical works for the substations.
The substations are expected to be energized in late 2019.
