Sandvine wins $2-million U.S. telco order
by Canadian Manufacturing Daily Staff
Order includes variety of policy control systems, including fairshare traffic, usage management products
Waterloo, Ont.—Broadband solutions firm Sandvine has received a $2-million order from a top U.S. telecom provider.
The undisclosed telecom provider ordered a variety of policy control systems, according to Sandvine, including its policy traffic switch (PTS), fairshare traffic management and usage management products.
The PTS interacts directly with data traffic by enforcing policies on a per-flow and per-subscriber basis, according to Sandvine, while the fairshare system manages the inherent competition for limited network resources.
