HALIFAX—Nova Scotia Power is seeking biomass suppliers for its future plant in Port Hawkesbury.
The privately owned utility says it’s looking to buy approximately 500,000 tonnes of biomass fuel.
The 60-megawatt plant, which remains under construction, is expected to be up and running by next spring.
The utility says it wants to hear from potential suppliers around Nova Scotia that are committed to sustainable practices.
