Company secures training and simulation contracts with U.S., German armed forces

MONTREAL—CAE has been awarded defence industry training services and simulation contracts valued at more than $100 million.

The contracts wins include two with the U.S. armed forces. The U.S. Air Force exercised an option that will see CAE continue to provide training services as part of the KC-135 Aircrew Training System program, while the U.S. Navy exercised a similar option for its T-44C aircrew training services program. In addition, the German Air Force signed a five-year contract wherein CAE will provide maintenance and support services for the country’s Eurofighter training devices.

“The delivery of training services such as classroom and simulator instruction as well as upgrades and maintenance support is an important part of our strategy to be a full-service training systems integrator,” Gene Colabatistto, CAE’s Group president of Defence & Security, said. “We are continuing to pursue a range of long-term training services contracts and expect the delivery of services to make up a growing percentage of our business portfolio as defence forces look to leverage the support and expertise of industry.”
