Cleantech firm BIOREM tallies new orders worth $5.7M

GUELPH, Ont. — BIOREM Inc. has new orders worth $5.7 million for air emission abatement projects in China and North America.
The Guelph, Ont. company manufactures high-efficiency air emissions control systems used to eliminate odors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous air pollutants.
The first order worth $2.6 million is for a large wastewater infrastructure project in the North-Eastern City of Tianjin, China. The company said design and fabrication are underway. The project is to be completed in early 2020.
The second project valued at $700,000 is with a large, unnamed U.S. food processor with manufacturing operations in Wuhan, China. The plant will demonstrate the effectiveness of biological solutions for VOC reduction initiatives.
A new order valued at $2.4 million for Chicago consists of three separate projects involving the city’s largest wastewater facility.
