HINTON, Alta.—A man has been killed in an accident at the site of a gas plant in west-central Alberta.
The death happened July 16, about 80 kilometres northeast of Hinton, Alta., about 300 kilometres west of Edmonton.
RCMP say the 32-year-old Hinton resident had been working as part of a pipeline crew when he was struck by a large piece of pipe.
The victim died at the scene.

His name has not been released.
An autopsy is scheduled and police do not consider the death suspicious.
