No injuries were reported but CN provided no information on what cargo was being transported in the derailed cars.

GREGG, Man.—Several cars of an east-bound CN Rail train have derailed near Gregg, Man.

In a news release, CN spokesman Brent Kossey says the derailment happened about 7 p.m. March 11 near the community 50 kilometres east of Brandon.

He says there are no reports of injuries but provided no information on what cargo was being transported in the derailed cars.

He says CN has activated its emergency response plan and crews are en route to the scene to conduct a full assessment of the incident.

Gregg is about 50 kilometres east of Brandon.
