Manufacturer looking to drive into new U.S. markets as it adds 100 jobs at London, Ont.-area facility

BLENHEIM, Ont.—Cross Country Manufacturing is scaling up its southwest Ontario plant with a $5.5 million investment.

The company, which makes trailers for the agriculture, construction, oil and gas, logging, and mining industries, said the expansion project will allow it to boost productivity at its Blenheim, Ont. plant while increasing quality and efficiency. Using its increased output to push into new markets in the U.S., the company plans to increase its export capacity 70 per cent.

The Ontario government said it will contribute $550,000 to the project, which is expected to create 100 jobs at the Blenheim facility southwest of London, Ont.

The company expects to complete the expansion project by next summer.
