TORONTO—Private equity firm Onex Corp. has agreed to buy IntraPac International Corp., a packaging company based Mooresville, North Carolina, with operations across the U.S. and Canada.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Intrapac makes rigid packaging such as jars, vials, tubes and bottles at eight manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Canada, as well as one in Costa Rica. It employs about 800 workers.

Onex purchased the company from CI Capital Partners LLC, a private equity firm based in New York City.
