Tilsonburg, Ont. plant nabs 3M performance award

The Superior Performance Award recognizes 3M suppliers that outperform traditional performance and quality standards.
TILSONBURG, Ont.—Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies Simrit’s manufacturing facility in Tillsonburg, Ont. has been awarded 3M’s Superior Performance Award for its 2012 results.
This is the third time Freudenberg-NOK has received this honor, which is based on 3M’s TQRDC Supplier Metric that measures technology, quality, responsiveness, delivery and cost.
The Superior Performance Award recognizes 3M suppliers that outperform traditional performance and quality standards.
Tillsonburg was awarded the Superior Performance award for 2012 but it has achieved this level of performance every year since 2006. During this time, Freudenberg-NOK’s scores have exceeded 95 per cent and, since 2010, have exceeded 98 per cent.
The ISO9001-approved Tillsonburg plant designs and manufactures low pressure seals for a variety of markets, including aerospace, appliance, energy and electrical, with a special focus on applications in extreme temperature, electrical and environmental situations.
The Nadcap-approved facility was recently awarded United Technologies Corp.’s Supplier Gold status for the fourth consecutive year. The plant is also certified to the AS9100 Revision C quality management system, including design for the aerospace industry.
