Tilray Brands Inc. signs distribution agreement with Southern Glazer’s

Tilray Brands Inc. says its wellness division has signed a distribution agreement with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
The cannabis company says the agreement is meant to give Tilray Wellness access to Southern Glazer’s distribution network of bars, restaurants, grocery chains and convenience stores.
Tilray will use the network to distribute beverages containing cannabidiol (CBD), a compound found in cannabis that does not produce a high.
Tilray did not say the terms or value of the deal it made with Miami and Dallas-based Southern Glazer’s, but says the company will serve as the exclusive distribution partner for Tilray Wellness’ products in 13 states and have additional opportunities to scale countrywide.
It touted the agreement as a way to develop a CBD beverage portfolio that will entice the mainstream and take the category “out of the fringe.”
Southern Glazer’s website shows it is also a distributor for Bob Marley-branded CBD drinks and Cann, a cannabis-infused beverage maker Gwyneth Paltrow invested in.
