
SKF fires up $870-million Chinese bearing plant
The factory is now operational and employs around 500 people.

GÖTEBORG, Sweden—SKF has opened a $870-million (590 million Swedish krona) bearing and hub unit factory in Jinan, Shandong Province, China.
The LEED standard factory will provide tapered roller bearings and SKF split truck hub units for the truck market, industrial markets and the vehicle aftermarket.
The factory is now operational and employs about 500 people.
