Ricoh claims its new print management solution will remove reliance on print servers and enable central management.

MISSISSAUGA — Ricoh Canada Inc. has announced the launch of RICOH Print Management Cloud to assist IT support teams.

“With the launch of PMC, Ricoh is revolutionizing print management, providing IT and end-users alike with a simple, secure and streamlined approach to print and print management,” said Eric Fletcher, VP of marketing and communications at Ricoh Canada Inc.

Ricoh claims its new print management solution will remove reliance on print servers and enable central management. The company also says the cloud solution will eliminate time-consuming experiences encountered through IT helpdesks.

Additionally, PMC promises to boost productivity while reducing maintenance and support with a universal print driver that standardizes the user experience across manufacturers and devices.

Ricoh says PMC should also help with retention of data sovereignty whether installed as a hosted SaaS solution or an on-premises hybrid cloud system.

Users of PMC can deploy and control the printing infrastructure from a single web-based interface. They can also manage the use of high-touch equipment like printers to enable  printing without touching the device control panel.

RICOH PMC is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, and according to the company this includes SOC2 compliance and Ricoh’s stated commitment to continual maintenance and improvement.
