
Renewable power projects to dominate energy spending

Canada’s energy spending will top $5.2 billion this year
SUGAR LANDTX—Canada’s third-quarter spending has been dominated by renewable energy projects, accounting for more than $3.3 billion of the country’s planned power industry spending.
This year, it’s expected Canadian energy industry spending will top $5.2 billion, according to Industrial Info Resources, a global market intelligence firm.
One of the larger wind projects set to begin in the third quarter is Kingsley Falls, Que.-based Boralex Inc.’s Seigneurie de Beaupre Windfarm in Quebec.
